Biography

I was born July 18th in Jersey City Medical Center, Jersey City, New Jersey. I came into a single-parent household. My mother raised my sisters and I in a small town by the New York /New Jersey Harbor called West New York in New Jersey. I attended Memorial High School for my four years of high school. I am now a freshman in Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. I am a proud EOP student. Through the Educational Opportunity Program, I was able to obtain a great education and a promising future. My mother did not attend college and she now has two graduate daughters and another one in the same path. Being raised by a single parent has taught me to value the struggles she has overcome to give us a better future in such a judgmental society. I am extremely proud of my ethic roots. I am a strong, confident Latina. My mother comes from Spain and El Salvador decent. I am very proud of my Latina roots and it shows in my character and work. Family and friends are a huge part of my life and they complete me as a person.
I am majoring in psychology and concentrating in gender and sexuality studies to eventually become a Sex Therapist. The idea of studying sexology came from my ambitious for love. I dislike seeing marriages fall apart. In the future, I want to be able to help couples in their problems and also helped troubled people who suffer from addiction in sex. Many people do not see sex as an addiction but it is. As horrible as any addiction, sex can harm you in many ways. I want to be able to help society in any way I can.
If someone had to write a book about me I can assure you that they will say I adore Harry Potter. I love to read. I love to lose myself in a different world and expand my imagination. With that being said, I am a very creative person. One of my biggest fears is to trap myself in one element. I chose to minor in event planning because I feel that part of me should be developed. As much as I like being able to help people out, I also like to be part of the creating hand. I have yet to explore many possible paths, but I know that I can bring 100% to the table.
